Weber is a brand known for making high quality grills, the Weber 6631001 Genesis E-330 is no exception. The Genesis line is considered to be Weber’s upper-mid offering to the grill market. This natural gas grill is designed to be connected to a home natural gas line via a ten-foot long hose–a nearly identical liquid propane model does exist though.
The black and steel colored lid and frame houses 3 steel burners that evenly spread 38,000 BTU of heat to all corners of the cooking surface. The electric ignition makes starting the grill painless–just press the ignition while turning on the burners and you are good to go. The porcelain-enameled cast iron grates provides a ample 507 square inches of grilling area, set above the main grilling surfaces is a 130 square inch warming rack. If you want to sear your meats the E-330 features a 4th “searing” burner dedicated to that task. On the right side of the grill, a steel lid conceals single gas burner, which is handy for use with a pot or pan. The lid mounted thermometer allows you to accurately read the internal temperature of the grill. If adjustments are necessary, the intensity of each individual burner can be controlled via one of the three control knobs set in the middle of grill. Weber’s trademark “Flavorizer” porcelain-enameled flameguards help control flare ups by deflecting the flames away from the grilling surface.
Underneath the grilling area, the cabinet style enclosed cart provides convenient and ample space to store all your grilling related tools and gear. Further down, the 4 heavy duty casters make rolling the grill around an easy process. The stainless steel table on the left side of the grill provides precious and useful prep space–and if you flip the steel lid down over the side burner on the right side of the grill you can double your temporary prep and storage space!
The Weber Genesis E-330 is a grill that has all the features to satisfy both grilling neophytes and experienced enthusiasts. For anyone with ample backyard space and gas line hookup it is a worthy contender.
